Mommy Homemade Frames – Guest Blogger!

January 31, 2013 Megan Post a comment

Thanks to the power of Facebook, I’m meeting great crafty Mamas all over! Please say hello to Jennifer of Mommy Homemade Frames – she’s does such unique, wonderful work! 🙂

My name is Jennifer McNally and I am the owner of Mommy Home Frames. I am a mother of a wonderful two year old boy, and also work part time at my local Police Department. I have always loved decorating, and redid rooms in my house often.

I decided one day to turn my formal living room into a play room for my son. (He’s just a little spoiled). I really wanted it to be neutral colors and decided on yellow and grey. It was nearly impossible to find yellow picture frames and home décor in yellow, so I decided I would just make my own.

I started posting pictures of everything I made on sites like Facebook and Instagram, and people started asking me to make them picture frames and my painted canvases. So that’s when I decided to open up Mommy Homemade Frames.

This was nowhere what it is today until I started making decorations for my son’s birthday party. I decorated his name to look like the different Mickey Mouse characters, and that’s when I had request after request for Mickey Mouse letters as well as all different themes. So today I still make picture frames locally but I mostly make character letters.

All of my letters are hand painted and come with custom cutouts made from high quality cardstock. They are a great edition to a kids room or birthday party. I know birthday parties are expensive enough so I try very hard to keep my prices reasonable. 🙂
