Hello All!!
First of all, I apologize for my lengthy absence! Thanksgiving + work + baby + hubby + prep for a craft fair next week = post-less for far too long. I certainly don’t like to keep my minions – er, followers – bereft of their crafty reading. 🙂
I have many, many, many posts in the works with all the goodies I’ve been working on, but for a quick “Hi I’m still blogging!” post, I thought I’d share an easy one with a freebie attached. Who doesn’t love free stuff??
When I first started getting into paper-crafting – more specifically card-making – I found a lot of great blogs and sites regarding digital stamps. The great fun of digital stamps is you can manipulate them on your computer for your various projects! (Check out the blogs I follow for some great sites/blogs to look at for digital stamps.)
I know there is a great deal that goes into creating these little wonders, especially the unique, hand-drawn ones. I did want to try my hand at creating one or two however, something simple like a background image or a sentiment for the season. Thanks to wonderful sites and tools like PicMonkey, it was easier than I thought!
***In no way am I stating that the wonderful digital artists out there are not making beautiful digis with much love and labor – nor do I seek to compare the digis in this post with theirs. Just looking to show that you can add a little of your own flair and creativity with comparable ease! 🙂 ***
So, in celebration of my new found addiction – er, um, artistic outlet – I present you with my very first digis! Clearly I was inspired by the current season; perhaps even more so by the lack of snow in my desert region. 🙂
Feel free to save these for use in your own crafty plans and please link back to me when you post your creations – I’d love to see them!
I’m hoping to get a bit more inventive in the future, but I think I’m going to really love creating my own digis for my projects! 🙂 If you like the digis, I’d love to see a comment from you, or even the project you used it on!
