It’s time for another themed challenge from the Silhouette Creators! This month we are focusing on “Fall-o-ween”, where the creators could pick a fall OR Halloween project to work on.

C’mon Get Crafty – Witches Magic Hat Wine Glass
My Life From Home – Hello Fall Sign
Pocketful of Posies – Gone Batty Wreath
For my project, I wanted something really “bewitching“, hee hee. I found this fun design in the Silhouette shop that read, “This is where the magic happens” accompanied by a witchy hat and bats. I considered putting it on a sign first, then a pumpkin. But as I thought about it, I realized often times the “magic” for me is a well earned glass of wine – so why not put it on a wine glass??
To make this Halloween wine glass, you will need:
wine glass
gloss enamel paint
parchment or wax paper
vinyl
transfer tape
Silhouette design
I originally intended to make two glasses, but I made a mess of the second one, so I ended up with one. #Craftingproblems
Step One
This is an easy method, and perfect for a spooky Halloween goblet look. In my head I was thinking of some ornate, witchy goblet such as the Evil Queen from Snow White might use. So I placed the glass upside down on the parchment paper and started dribbling paint around the base of the bell.
I didn’t want the paint to get too far down, especially not anywhere near where lips would touch, so after a few minutes, I flipped the glass right side up so the paint would dribble the other way, down the stem.
Step Two
While the paint dried, I sized and cut my chosen design onto green and purple vinyl. I wanted two colors to make the design on the glass more interesting. Once my designs were cut, I weeded away the excess so only my design lingered. Since I intended to layer the colors, I also removed the words of the green design that I didn’t want to show on the glass.
Step Three
Using transfer tape, apply your design to your wine glass. Smooth the vinyl over the glass, and clean off any fingerprints. Now pour yourself a potion and enjoy! Everything tastes better in a wine glass, so feel free to make a cocktail, mocktail, or even just apple cider!
