After a long Chicago winter, (and they always feel long!), I am always so excited for the advent of spring! Open windows, spring cleaning, and fresh flowers are my first thoughts when I think of spring.
Now, with my personal black thumbs, fresh flowers are often outside my wheelhouse. I have no talent whatsoever for arrangements, and they always seem to die right away. I’ve had my best luck with wildflowers, but its not always easy to find them. I’ve always been a fan of those big beautiful faux flower arrangements you see in stores, but I find them to be a bit too pricey most of the time. So I was thrilled to find a bunch of affordable and beautiful arrangements at Wayfair that fit the new look of my foyer perfectly!
When we moved into our home six years ago, the foyer was one of the first places I went to work on. I hired a GC to put up board and batten along the main floor and up the stairs, and I spent a VERY long time staining the railings myself. I love to decorate my foyer for the various seasons, and it frequently comes in handy for our kids’ birthday parties as well!
Since we finally had the new floors put in and the foyer painted last year, I’ve been leaning into a more farmhouse-y vibe with my decor. I love my pretty new grey-blue walls! No more of that bright yellow or builders basic blonde wood! I was thrilled to find these sweet little wildflower arrangements in a set of 4!
I absolutely love these, and they are the perfect size to line my console table and create different heights with my framed pictures and other arrangements! I could also see these easily gracing a wooden ledge in a farmhouse kitchen or even a powder room!
In addition to my 4pc arrangements, I also picked up a larger arrangement of tall lilies and a small little tulip arrangement. The lilies got moved to my kitchen (gotta spread the wealth around!) but the tulips were a lovely addition to the foyer with the little extra pop of color.
Having these pretty faux flower arrangements so beautifully adorning the entrance to our home makes me feel like despite anything else we might be dealing with in the world right now, there’s still a lot to lift your spirits if you just know where to look!
I had to smile–and read it out loud to my SO–my front hall is not prettily stacked with small flower arrangements that I have made since we are social distancing. The antique/flea market where I sell my arrangements is closed and creating arrangements/wreathes/garlands has been a Godsend this week! Switched over to earrings yesterday–have so many craft supplies I can stay busy for MONTHS! Your foyer is lovely.
