C’mon Get Crafty started as a creative outlet—just a fun hobby blog where I shared my love of DIY, ambitious party planning, and crafting, along with the inevitable Pinterest fails. Over time, I realized people weren’t just here for the projects—they were inspired by my figure-it-out approach to creativity. My belief? If you can buy it, you can probably DIY it—and have a blast doing it.
Hey there, I’m Megan, the heart, soul, and glue-gun-wielding force behind C’mon Get Crafty—your one-stop hub for DIY, creative business-building, and making cool stuff happen.
Read: heart and snark, with a light dusting of controlled chaos.
Looking for a fun DIY project? Planning a party? Maybe, just maybe, you’re finally ready to stop overthinking and actually make progress on your creative business.
Whatever brought you here, you’re in the right place. Let’s make something awesome.
How it Started vs How It’s Going
While running this blog, I was also building a corporate career (practically against my will), eventually landing a VP role in a high-pressure industry. But the further I climbed, the clearer it became: my success on paper didn’t match what I actually wanted.
So I walked away.
Now, I help creative entrepreneurs turn their skills and ideas into something real.
The Creative Edge
The Creative Edge is my coaching program built for people who have plenty of ideas but need the structure, support, and real step-by-step guidance to move forward. No generic systems, no fluff—just personalized strategy, hands-on support, and a space where you can get real answers when you need them.
But coaching isn’t the only way I help creatives.
Over the years, I realized my mix of corporate experience (ugh, who knew?) and theatrical training actually gave me another superpower: helping creators master their email marketing through storytelling. Writing has always been a creative passion of mine, and while I love crafting literally, I also love crafting emails that don’t get ignored – he kind that feel personal, spark engagement, and actually sound like you. Plus it gives me the fun and flexibility of writing on topics beyond the DIY-sphere, which means its always exciting and fresh!
Maybe you’re here to grab a freebie, DIY something fun, or just find some inspiration for your next weekend project. That’s cool too, and I’m HERE FOR IT. And if that’s the case, I’m all about spreading joy through downloadable digital products. You’ll find a treasure trove of free printables and digital goodies to help you organize, create, and celebrate without the stress.
A Little More About Me . . .
I’m happily married to a dedicated gamer, raising two energetic boys, and yes, I absolutely bring my inner Monica Geller to every game night. If I’m not in my craft room/office, I’m probably:
🎬 Watching (and quoting) movies—acting is in my blood, and there’s always a film rolling in the background of my projects.
🧹 Cleaning—my inner Monica isn’t limited to game night.
🎮 Losing (yes, losing!) a video game to one or both of my boys in an ongoing effort at spending time with them. Cuz it goes by WAY too fast. . .
🎨 Doodling, drawing, and brainstorming yet another idea I’ll need to add to my “brilliant but unfinished” list.
Does that sounds like your vibe? Grab your popcorn, roll the film, and let’s get crafty together. 🎬✨
1️⃣ I once sold perfume on the street in between acting auditions. If you’ve ever been aggressively spritzed with “designer-inspired” cologne outside a shopping mall… yeah, sorry about that.
2️⃣ I have a very specific (and completely useless) superpower: I can tell you which actors have played multiple roles in the Law & Order universe. It’s like a personal IMDb in my brain, and I will stop a show to point it out.
3️⃣ I involuntarily slip into a British accent when watching British films or speaking to British people. It’s not intentional. It’s not good. But it does make post-surgery anesthesia stories entertaining.
4️⃣ For my son’s first birthday, I turned my house into Disneyland. Every room had a different “land” and theme. It was, objectively, insane. I regret nothing.
5️⃣ My approach to business is basically an Iron Man test flight: Try the thing, hit a wall, fix the thing, try again—until it works. Also, occasionally panic mid-air.
6️⃣ I geek out over serial killers. Not in a should I be worried? way, but in a give me all the true crime podcasts and documentaries way. Murderinos, let’s talk.
7️⃣ I have never met a deadline I didn’t make harder for myself. My creative process usually involves an overly ambitious plan, a last-minute pivot, and swearing loudly at 1 AM.
8️⃣ I do not sew. I don’t quilt, I don’t stitch, and despite multiple attempts, I still can’t knit or crochet for more than ten minutes before rage-quitting. Fabric crafts involve math, and I refuse.
9️⃣ A phrase I say all the time: “Well, that escalated quickly.” Usually in reference to my own projects spiraling out of control.
🔟 What I believe makes a successful creative entrepreneur: Willingness to look ridiculous while figuring it out. (Bonus points if you can laugh about it later.)
