This month’s #MovieMondayChallenge was a LOT of fun for me, since I chose one of my favorite films! This Goonies subway art I created is compiled of all my favorite quotes!

On the last (or fourth) Monday of each month, a group of bloggers participate in a #MovieMondayChallenge, hosted by C’mon Get Crafty! We decide on a topic, genre, or specific movie to use for inspiration and everyone gets free reign to create something wonderful!
This month’s challenge was. . . . KIDS! Everyone was allowed to choose their own favorite film so long as it was inspired by the challenge word.
The challenge word “Kids” made me instantly think of one movie…
I’m not sure if we can still be friends if you’ve never seen this movie. It’s THE BEST!! Young Josh Brolin, Sean Astin, Corey Feldman, Martha Plimpton….it’s a ragtag bunch of “Goonies” in search of pirate treasure, and the movie itself is worth its weight in gold.
One of the things I love most about movies is the dialogue. So many movies have the distinction of amazingly quotable phrases, and The Goonies is no exception.
For this challenge, I opted to use Picmonkey and my favorite lines to create a fun Goonies subway art printable!
I love using Picmonkey. All I had to do was figure out which quotes I wanted to use and the best fonts to use. I get all the BEST fonts and most of them for free at Creative Fabrica!
I also wanted to play with looks, so I used the overlay features on Picmonkey to create a colorful version using one of the Goonies Movie posters! The key to that trick is to have black text on a white background, then play with the options in overlay. Picmonkey has great blogs about how to do this.
Now, of course, I couldn’t possibly make a Goonies subway art printable if I didn’t make a version that looked like a treasure map! The entire plot of the movie is following a pirate map to the ultimate treasure – the treasure of One Eyed Willie. I had an old background in my digital crafty stash that did the trick.
If you are looking to make one of these yourself, try this crumpled paper background at Creative Fabrica – or search for another one more to your liking!
All of the printables on C’mon Get Crafty are free for personal use ONLY. At no time should they be distributed or sold. For commercial use, please contact me via my Contact page.

Now let’s see what everyone else was inspired to create for this month’s #MovieMondayChallenge!!
Great craft, very fun and I definitely think of all the fun dialog in this movie too. Great movie choice!
Omgosh, this is such a fun printable with all the quotes/sayings from the movie. I haven’t watched this movie in forever and need to watch it again with the kids.
These look so good, how do you download them can not seem to find a link?
