Like it or not, it is definitely fall, and in so many places, feeling like winter. I go all out on my boys’ summer birthday parties, but I find I have a certain – shall we say – “MEH” feeling about getting super crazy in my cold weather entertaining. When the skies are gray and and the winds blow cold, its hard to muster the energy for extensive party planning. I sort of just wanna curl up in my comfy clothes, eat some comfort food, and enjoy the game!
I’m an entertainer, in all forms. However, sometimes I really just wish I could put out an excellent spread and then sit back and enjoy the spoils, without having to monitor pots, pans, and ovens all day. We do our weekly shopping trip on Fridays typically, and when stocking up at Sams’s Club, ESPECIALLY before a football Sunday, the best and easiest delicious buy is the Member’s Mark 16” Take N’ Bake Pepperoni Pizza.
If You Haven’t Had One, you are missing some serious cheesy goodness. Total Yums.
Sorry, I was drooling. {Closes mouth.} Anyhoo, we have plenty of friends who love to spend a lazy Sunday watching football, chatting, and gorging on carbs. If EVER there was a cheat day, Football Sunday is it! Due to my sheer desire to stay home as much as possible on the weekends now that I no longer work from home, I’m all about hosting. Therefore, I make sure to set a good, yummy spread – ya know, without slaving over the stove all day.
I freaking love Sams Club. Bulk buys that fill my boys? Done deal. Easy pickups for entertaining? WIN. Let me just cruise the aisles quickly, snap up a few Member’s Mark 16″ Take ‘N Bake Pizzas for Sunday Funday, and make my way home for an easy party.
I also snagged a few packs of the Coca-Cola® Mini Cans and Sprite® Mini Cans for party beverages. I grew up with the classic taste of Coca-Cola, and many of my friends love the crisp, clean taste of Sprite. Pretty much no party is complete without!
Every football party can benefit from a quick trip to Sam’s Club and a few extra tips to make it seem a bit more on point. Here’s how you throw an easy football party and also enjoy it yourself!
Keep it simple.
I know, I know, I should be giving this advice to myself. I’m the WORST going overboard! Yet at the end of the day, you really only need a clean house, maybe a few small decorations to get in the spirit, and an easily accessible array of eats. Paper straws in fun designs and a few sports themed elements will convey the theme of the party and add to the festivities. I’ve used decorated paper straws in plenty of my parties!
Pre-plan for easy cleanup.
Setting up the party can be fun, but cleanup never is. By using recyclable or disposable containers (or edible ones like bread bowls for dips!), you can get the house back to normal quickly post party. For greener options, think cloth napkins that are easily tossed in the washing machine!
Save on Delicious Easy Eats

They are large in size and ready in no time! (15 minutes to be exact!) Throw in a chips and dips, maybe prepare a bag of frozen wings from the freezer section, and you’re golden! Be sure to have plenty of thirst-quenching cans of soda to wash down the goodies – and we won’t tell on you if there’s some added whiskey in yours! 😉
