Where are my cocktail ladies?? 😉
I’m a Mama who loves her wine, but on occasion, I prefer a cocktail. I still want it to be delicious.
My friend Allie is an AMAZING bartender with MAD skills – she’s been in magazines! She told me about this recipe of hers, and I loved it.
Only, I had to adapt it, since I do not work at a Michelin rated bar with top shelf liquors at my disposal. I’m going to share with you my “hack” of Allie’s amazing iced coffee cocktail.
So here’s Allie’s recipe:
1.5 oz Irish Whiskey
0.5 oz Nocino Walnut liqueur
0.75 oz vanilla syrup
0.75 oz heavy cream
2 oz cold brew or cold coffee
Well, it’s safe to say that the average Joe (or Jane) probably doesn’t have Nocino or vanilla syrup laying around just any old day. No worries! I found a shortcut! 🙂
Vanilla Iced Coffee!!!
No need for syrup, or a separate batch of cold-pressed coffee here! {Don’t you love shortcuts?}
Walmart carries a great stock of flavored iced coffee in their refrigerated section. You could make lots of variations with these flavors! No brewing, just pour!
For the walnut liqueur, Frangelico is a nice bottle, and easy to find in any liquor store. Since you have an iced coffee mix already, you can also skip the heavy cream!
Here’s my version:
1.5 oz Irish Whiskey
0.5 oz Frangelico
3.5 oz International Delight Vanilla Iced Coffee
It couldn’t be simpler! A delicious, refreshing beverage for anyone who loves flavor. Now I’m curious about what other cocktails I could make with the other International Delight Iced Coffee flavors!
What flavor would you use to create a recipe with?
