For those of you that have never experienced Modge Podge, don’t feel bad – it wasn’t so long ago that I was a podge virgin. To be honest, I have my likes and dislikes about it. But it is fun to play with!
This is just a simple little project I did a while back, but it was one of my first experiences with the podge. I used $0.99 tiles from Lowes, scrapbook paper from my stash, pictures collected from the Internet, and the podge. White felt scraps and more podge give the bottom of the tiles a nice soft base to protect the furniture – I give you my European coasters!
Overall, they work pretty well – but red wine still tends to stain through a bit, even with several coats of the podge on the top. Se la vie!
