For this month’s Craft Room Destash, I was happy to cull together some of my stash in order to make a meaningful baby shower keepsake for my cousin for her first baby.

Every month a group of bloggers are challenged by C’mon Get Crafty to create a new craft or project from their own stash of goodies! Everyone is allowed a $10 allowance for necessities to complete their project (i.e. paint brushes, glue, etc), but the bulk of it must be created from their own stash of goodies.
This pin from Aspen Jay has been one of the most shared I’ve ever had on my Baby Showers and Gifts board on Pinterest. I’ve been wanting to try my hand at a recreation, but until recently my baby shower days seemed numbered!
I didn’t have to purchase a single thing for this project – I had the old sign in my stash – same as the one I used for my “Mother of Sons” farmhouse sign – plus all the paper and adhesive, etc.
While there is an amazing free printable available on the original site, my sign was much larger than a printable. I rolled up my sleeves and made an attempt to free hand the elephant image – and I’m pretty happy with it!
I cut the words on my Cricut, along with the balloons.

Okay, that is way too cute! Love it!
I am pinning this idea for any future baby shower needs.
