Do you have a special pooch at home you want to treat? My pup LOVES these homemade pumpkin peanut butter dog biscuits, and they are seriously easy to make.
With all the attention I focus on my kids and husband, our poor sweet pup, Wrigley, probably feels a bit left out. Sometimes it’s hard for me to believe he’s eight years old!
When I was offered the opportunity to get creative with some doggy themed cookie cutters from Wayfair, I was happy to treat my sweet boy with some homemade pumpkin peanut butter dog biscuits. Once they were done, he gobbled them right up, so I’m sure your dog will love them too!

You Will Need
- 3 cups Oats (plus little extra)
- 1/2 cup Peanut Butter
- 1 cup Pumpkin Puree
- 1/4 cup chopped Parsley (optional)
Now, for my pup, his breath was sort of the catalyst for this idea. It is HORRIFIC. We got him the doggy dental stuff, but my husband hasn’t cleaned his teeth in a bit, and neither have I. So I definitely wanted to make sure to add some parsley to these homemade dog biscuits in order to help freshen his breath.
These cookie cutters from Wayfair are SO CUTE!! I tried a few different ones, both the small and large bones as well as the small fire hydrant. The small ones make nice treat sizes, but the big ones seem to have better outlines. Of course, my batter could also have been part of the issue on that, as far as “definition” goes.
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Grind oats to powder (I used my Magic Bullet)
- Combine ingredients in a mixing bowl and stir to combine.
- Using the extra oat flour, spread over surface and roll out the dough. Cut with cookie cutters
- Place cut treats on greased baking sheet and bake for 20 min.
I did cut a few smaller ones as well, but they burnt a bit in comparison. If you decreased the baking time on small cuts, it should be just fine!
Of course I had to do a taste test – not on me, but on Wrigley! He was VERY appreciative!
