Sugar Cookies
Ingredients
- 2/3 cup shortening
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1 egg
- 4 tsp milk
- 2 cup flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp`` cream of tartar
Instructions
- Cream shortening, sugar, and vanilla. Add egg and beat until light and fluffy. Stir in milk. Mix in dry ingredients. Blend with cream mixture. Chill 2-3 hours, or overnight. Roll, cut out, decorate. Use an egg white wash prior to decorating. Bake at 375 for 6-8 min
