Superman Cream Cheese Jelly Puffs

These yummy, flaky, sweet puffs will wow at any superhero party, or just for brunch!

Ingredients

  • 1 box Ready-made Puff Pasty Dough
  • 1 jar Jelly of Choice
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup Confectioner's Sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 Egg wash
  • 1 Piping Tube a Ziploc with one corner cut works well!
  • Sprinkles optional
  • Superhero Cookie Cutters

Instructions

  • Roll out the puff pastry on a bed of light flour, and begin to use the Superman cookie cutters for your puffs. This is a fun opportunity for the kids to help!
  • Layer the pastry with a bit of jam or jelly, and a dollop of cream cheese.
  • Layer another pastry puff cut out over the top and pinch the sides together with a fork before basting lightly with the egg wash.
  • Bake until puffed and ready, roughly 10 min at 350 degrees.
  • Once baked, let cool.
  • Pipe the Superman logo on with the Cream Cheese Frosting recipe in the Ziploc bag.
  • Finish with a light colored sprinkle, if desired.
