A while back, I was inspired to try my hand at painting for the first time in a LONG time. We have a three part canvas of a tree branch in our living room (a la JC Penney) and I wanted to try doing a multiple canvas image myself!
I was inspired by the tree branch idea, but I wanted a different color scheme – more of a sunset or sunrise idea. Our existing picture is brown and cream. I saw a beautiful blue and gold sunset image online, and decided to play with that combination.
Here is what I ended up with when I finished:
I’m not unhappy with it overall, but I get a very Halloween-ey vibe from the finished painting. So I’m not really sure what I’m going to do with it. For the moment, its hanging in my son’s room, since he has the blue wall paint to match. 🙂
My next painting attempt I was REALLY happy with….post to come! =)
