Mid-Century Modern Mix and Match Style Challenge with Chairish

Mid-Century Modern Design

 Mid-Century Modern Design

We may be over a year in the new house, but I still have rooms left to furnish and finalize. As we’ve been slowly putting everything into place, I’m discovering a lot about my style and taste, sometimes surprisingly so.  In some instances, I’ve gone much more traditional than I expected, and in others I’ve been drawn to a more mid-century modern design. Which is really weird, since I’ve never really considered the Mad Men era my style. It is funny how certain pieces just speak to you though!

When it’s time for a new look, Chairish is the best way to buy and sell your fabulous used and vintage furniture, decor, jewelry and fashion accessories.

Here’s why:

  1. You make more money. Up to 80% of the selling price goes back to you. Listing with Chairish is always free.
  2. Chairish handles the pesky logistics. Chairish manages payment and shipping details. They use top notch white glove movers and well-known commercial services for smaller items.
  3. Chairish provides the right buyers. The Chairish curation team approves every listing to ensure the best experience for their design-oriented buyers and sellers. Chairish attracts buyers who appreciate your items.Currently Chairish only accepts furniture, home decor, and jewelry. All items must have a minimum listing price of $75.

From the vast selection of choices, I cultivated my look below:

 Mid-Century Modern Design

1. Mid-Century Modern Splash Oil Painting

2. Mid-Century George Kovacs “Caterpillar” Lamps

3. Mid-Century Modern Tufted Wool Sofa

4. Mid-Century Rug Abstract Design

5. Mid-Century Reupholstered Wingback Chair

6. Lane Mid-Century Modern Nightstands

7. Vintage Brass Elephant Bookends

8. Updated Mid-Century Console

I love the Alice in Wonderland feel to that wingback chair, and the console would beautifully hold my vintage radio/record player. Talk about feeling nostalgic!

The other cool thing about shopping on Chairish is that you can narrow your search by style or location. I could choose to only shop near Chicago for my selections if I wanted to!

What is your favorite period of design?
