Backstage Pass: #ShareYourSmile with ISeeMe!

Backstage Pass

Here’s a little sneak peek behind the blog, because I’m so proud I had to share!

We are avid readers in the Crafty household, and so far J is growing up with the same love of books that Mom and Dad have. If you have a little reader in your family, I suggest you check out ISeeMe! and their amazing selection of personalized books. Put your kid right into the story! What a great treasure for little readers.

*Note: I received compensation from ISeeMe! for my review and time, but all opinions remain my own.

The newest title from ISeeMe! is the inspiration for this post; the book is titled I Can Change the World. ISeeMe! is currently running an awesome campaign called #ShareYourSmile based on the launch of I Can Change the World, inspiring kids (and adults) do go out and perform a good deed or two. J and I did just that.

#ShareYourSmile

After Halloween, we had a discussion with J about all the treats he received, and how much fun he had helping hand out treats to the other children at our door. “Isn’t it fun to give!” “How happy those children were with the treats you gave them!”

He really seemed into the spirit of things, so I threw out a curve ball: “What do you think about finding some of your toys to give away? You don’t play with all of them anymore, and some other kids would probably love to have them.”

Bless his heart, he was all about it!! We left the decision of which toys up to him, and he bowled me over even more when he came down with his Elmo doll in tow, along with a few other gently used toys. I admit, I expected him to go for the more battered or babyish toys, and that we’d have to compromise on something worth giving, but there wasn’t an issue at all. He picked five well-loved but still great condition toys and couldn’t wait to give them away to other kids in need. Just look at that grin!!

#ShareYourSmile

My kid made me proud, and it was a wonderful experience as a parent. How will you #ShareYourSmile?
