How to Make Your Own DIY Planner Stickers

February 20, 2018April 25, 2025 Megan 17 comments
I've become a crazy Happy Planner addict, but even with a dozen of their amazing sticker packs I've found that I can't get stickers for every thing I need. So I decided to make my own!

Welcome to the February Pinterest Challenge Blog Hop! The purpose of this hop is to motivate us to not just hoard pins, but to make it happen!

I really wanted to start this challenge in January, but things were a bit crazy at the beginning of the year and I missed out. I’m excited to take part for the first time this month!

I've become a crazy Happy Planner addict, but even with a dozen of their amazing sticker packs I've found that I can't get stickers for every thing I need. So I decided to make my own!

I found this pin and added it to my Techniques to Try board a while back and I had a lot of fun designing a few new sticker designs. A few hours on Picmonkey with a few ideas of things I don’t see enough of on the store bought stickers, and I was set!

As an example, I wanted to focus on stickers I could put on my own calendar/in my planner, and I sized them to fit in a normal planner calendar box. Also, since “Nana” is the moniker we use in my family for grandmothers, my sticker to indicate when my boys are enjoying time with my mom is labeled as “Off to Nana’s”! 😊 (What do you call the grandmother figure in your family? I think its so fun how many options there are amongst families!)

The “Dreams Don’t Work Unless You Do” is stolen directly from a small crafty piece I made from canvas, fabric, modge podge, and cardstock – it hangs right in the center of my wall in my craft room, over my computer space.

The tutorial linked above gives you a full walkthrough on how to create these DIY planner stickers in Silhouette Studio, and I don’t know that I would have offered a better guide, so please forgive my apparent laziness. 🤣 I will be making a post on creating your own stickers on Cricut (which is my preferred cutting machine), and I’ll be sure to link it here when it’s live.

For a total walk through on how to make these yourself, feel free to hop over via the link to the full tutorial, BUT don’t forget to enjoy the free download of the stickers I’ve created below!

I can see that I will make many more of these, but these were the first stickers I came up with on the fly.

I’ll probably end up doing some Cub Scouts stickers, some sports stickers, some more blogger planner stickers, and DEFINITELY more wine stickers.

It might not be awesome to make more wine stickers, but I’m nothing but honest.😉

The stickers are super cute. I don’t know why, but I always have bad luck with PicMonkey, every time I try to use it. It never works, but it has great stuff. I love using planner stickers. #PinterestChallenge

I never thought to make stickers but now you have me thinking. I think this is a great idea, especially if you have kids.

Oh, this one is what I need! I have a planner but nothing fancy so your idea is great. I wanted those cute stickers and all that ones I saw were either to pricey or came with ones I’d never use. Pinned.

I love your wine stickers and I need them 🙂 I have two happy planners – one for life and one for blogging! I’m addicted to the stickers. They make everything look so much more cheerful.

These stickers are great! Nice typography and some of them made me laugh. I need one of those “Today has been cancelled” at least once a week.
