I’m pretty sure coffee is universally beloved; how many of you are soooo much happier after your first cup in the morning? Mmmm, the smell of coffee brewing alone is enough to put a smile on my bleary-eyed face.
Since we use our coffee corner every single day, I figured it deserved a little attention. Why not make it prettier? I also wanted to celebrate the fun pack of Starbucks® Caffè Latte K-Cup® pods that I’d recently received! Who doesn’t love having Starbucks® at home?
To cozy up my space, I decided to whip up a super easy DIY chalkboard sign—and if you want to make one too, I’ve included the printable so you can snag it below!

Here’s what you need to make this chalkboard coffee sign:
A small framed chalkboard (or wood + chalkboard paint)
Chalk or a chalk marker
My free printable word art (bottom of this post!)
A pencil
Tape
Printer
How to Make a DIY Chalkboard Coffee Sign
1. Print the Design
I made this using one of my fave fonts from Font Bundles (Zailla Script).
You can download my design below.

2. Graphite Transfer Trick
Flip the printable over and cover the entire back of the design with pencil. This creates a makeshift transfer sheet—old-school DIY magic.

3. Position & Tape
Tape your printable (right side up) where you want the design to appear on your chalkboard.

4. Trace the Design
Use your pencil to firmly trace over the letters. When you remove the paper, a faint graphite outline will be left behind.

5. Go Over with Chalk or Marker
Now trace over the outline using a chalk marker (my personal go-to, as they’re brighter and cleaner). I like to go over it twice for a bolder look. If you make any mistakes, don’t stress, just wipe and redo.

6. Add Your Flair
I drew a cute little coffee cup and corner swirl freehand, but feel free to get fancy with flourishes, borders, or even add your favorite coffee quote!

Coffee Break Celebration
To celebrate my new sign, I brewed up a cup of the Caramel Caffè Latte to sip and enjoy. These are fun, because you get a packet to pour into your mug and then you brew the K-Cup® pod into the mug and stir to mix.

Now, I am one of those people who needs flavored creamer in her coffee, but this was DELICIOUS, just the two steps! Rich caramel flavor and so creamy, probably because it is made from milk. Check your grocery store, they come in 3 great Starbucks® signature flavors (Caramel, Mocha, and Vanilla) and 2 Starbucks® seasonal flavors (Pumpkin Spice and Peppermint Mocha, available for a limited time).
