After the long Chicago winter, I’m SO ready to embrace the warmth of spring! Spend as much time outside as you can by styling a spring bar cart, always ready for outdoor entertaining! Thank you to Wayfair for sponsoring this post! (All opinions remain my own.)
It is FINALLY starting to warm up outside, and I am LOVING it! I crave the sunshine and the warmth, and all the fun of outdoor entertaining. In the Midwest, our weather is absolutely beautiful – for about three months. Three months of fresh breezes and pleasant temps in between bitter cold and thick, sticky heat. So I like to take advantage!
Here are my tips for styling a beautiful spring bar cart – and don’t miss at the bottom where I share my popular red and white sangria recipes!
Psst…I got my beautiful bar cartfrom this amazing assortment of options!!
Set Out Serving Trays of Glasses and Drinks
You can go cocktail or mocktail for drinks (I ALWAYS go cocktail, ha!). Set out a nice serving tray, or even just a pretty placemat! Set up glasses with ice, an ice bucket, and a pitcher of deliciousness! This one is lemonade, since my kids were hanging around. 🙂
Add Flowers for Bright Color
Spring in Chicago isn’t necessarily here in full bloom yet, despite the upswing in temperatures. My beautiful bushes are still pretty much all branches. But that was NOT going to spoil my spring party fun! Decorate your cart with bright flowers, offsetting the serverware with color and texture. (Yes, mine are fake, but only because our current warm time came on pretty suddenly.)
Create a Comforting and Inviting Space
Once the cart is stocked and styled, you place it where it does the most benefit! I set mine on the porch next to comfy chairs . . . and within easy reach of the wine bottles. 😉
Get ready to enjoy your spring in full with a beautiful spring bar cart, and let the sunshine back in!
The Best Red and White Sangria Recipes
Okay, I promised, so here it goes. I make these sangrias for our parties all the time. They are super simple, but always disappear in a wink!
- Wine (Red or white)
- Berries (blackberries, strawberries, raspberries)
- 7up or Sparkling water, depending on how dry you like it
- Dump the whole bottle of wine in a pitcher, add the sprite and berries, and let marinate for at least two hours
