I’ve paired up with a group of talented ladies to bring you a monthly Thrift Store Decor Upcycle Challenge. Each month we will create a new home decor piece from an item(s) we’ve found at a thrift store, yard sale, resale shop etc. There is no budget or specific theme so we are free to let our creativity run wild!

When I found this $5 find at Goodwill, it was perfect! Nothing crazy, but just what we needed, with book space falling quite short lately, it was honestly the best score.
It was rough and basic, but only $5 and something I needed. Thrift Store Win.
Time to tape and spray. First I painted it red. Then I taped off half and painted blue. These seem to be the main colors for both of my boys, so felt like a safe call.
Tape and bags peeled off, and we have a new home for our growing library!!
