Unloved Bedroom to Loved Bedroom!
Is your bedroom a repository for all
the unwanted gadgets, sad and tired furniture and unused bric-a-brac in the
home? Do your spirits droop when you go into your room, as you look around at
your uninspiring bedroom? Well, do something about it! Every bedroom deserves
to be loved and the following tips can help you transform you dull and unloved
bedroom into a haven of delight that you will never want to leave!
Stamp your own personality on your
bedroom by adding small, unnecessary but attractive touches to the top of the
dresser, the bedside cabinet and even to the walls. Your much loved soft toys
can be arranged on a shelf, photographs of happy days can be framed and hung on
the walls, or placed next to the bed and you can choose paintings and pictures
that have special significance for you.

Brighten up the room with plenty of
lamps and lights, rather than just one harsh bright bulb overhead. The addition
of a few smaller lamps throws welcoming circles of light and will change your
whole perspective of your bedroom. For bedding lamps, the best in town is Lightbulb

Be lavish on your bedding! Nothing
makes a bedroom more than high quality, fine bed linens. Choose your favourite
colour combinations, opt for a sensuous fabric and make sure you choose the
right size for your bed. With the vast array of bedding option available, you
are sure to find two or three sets that perfectly achieve the effect that you
crave for your ideal bedroom. My hot favorite for finest bed linens is Yorkshire Linen Co.

Clear out any clutter from your
room. If you have an exercise bike in the corner that you have not used in over
a year, a pile of clothing waiting to be mended or ironed, or even unwanted
bits and pieces from all over the house, now is the time to put your foot down.
Get the ironing and mending done, throw out anything that is broken or tatty
and sell, give away or throw away anything that has not been used or needed for
a long time. Apart from feeling that you have achieved something by removing
those piles of detritus, you will find your bedroom to be much roomier and
therefore easier to live and relax in!

Do not be afraid to add small,
pretty pieces into your bedroom. A lovely vase, a precious and delicate
ornament or a treasured framed photograph all impart something unique and
beautiful into a bedroom, as well as stamping a little of your personality into
the space. Your room is yours to decorate and lay out as best suits you, paying
no heed to what fashion magazines, the neighbours or television shows say! If
you like it, then it is right!

Pay attention to the temperature
control in your bedroom. Ideally, you want it to be warm and cosy in winter and
blessedly cool in summer. Set your radiator to a comfortable setting and make
sure that you have a couple of spare snuggly throws and blankets for the colder
nights.
