How much would your little superhero fan love these easy Batman Peanut Butter Sandwiches!? So easy to make and perfect for a Batman themed or Superhero themed party!
You guys, I can’t even begin to tell you how much my boys love superheroes. We have had a million (it seems like!) superhero crafts and parties and things on C’mon Get Crafty, and I’ve been running out of ideas lately. So I was super excited to receive a set of books packed with great ideas for keeping kids active and occupied, AND one of them was all about superheroes!
It’s the Official DC Super Hero Cookbook!
The great people at Downtown Bookworks reached out to me for a review, so I did receive these kits for free in exchange for my honest opinion. However, if my children were able to write this blog, THEIR opinion is what really mattered! The first thing I can tell you is that the worst part about this book was that it took so long to decide what to make FIRST!
There are many options available, from breakfast to dessert, and everything in between! My kids are fairly picky eaters, so a few of the sandwiches and burgers weren’t terribly appealing to them, but we ended up with a fun lunch idea anyway – Batman Peanut Butter Sandwiches!
The book comes with three superhero themed cookie cutters – Batman, Superman, and the Flash. We used the Batman cookie cutter to shape our bread for our sandwiches.Would your kids love these #Batman PB&J sandwiches? #superheroes @DowntownBkwrksClick To Tweet
When you press firmly down on the bread, carefully pull the excess away to get a clean cut! Then load up on the peanut butter and jelly!
*Actually, maybe take it a bit easy on the jelly. Ya know, because of the “ooze” factor. 😉
Slap the two halves together and you’ve got a very delicious Bat signal to send your kids! Batman will definitely approve!
These Batman peanut butter sandwiches are ridiculously easy to make, so they could be good for school lunches, at home snack, or what about a superhero party? You could probably cut bologna and cheese easily with this cutter as well if you want a different option!
Kid Tested. Batman Approved.
I’m excited to try more of the recipes in the book, maybe the Boy Wonder BLT or the Power Ring Pasta Salad! The book also comes with stencils and cutouts for creating fabulous food art!
The boys gobbled up these Batman sandwiches in no time, and J has been asking to look through the cookbook for new ideas ever since! I might be able to talk them into a few new foods simply by adding the superhero spin! Be sure to keep an eye on the blog, since we also made Superman Cream Cheese Jelly Puffs that I’ll be sharing soon!
